About Me

Hi I’m Jenna and you guessed it…I really, really would much rather be baking! Yes, I have a crazy sweet obsession with all things baking. I consume way more sugar than I should, and I’m totally guilty of eating chocolate chips straight out the bag before they even hit any batter! I believe everyone can make their own homemade treat.

I started my blog in early 2015 because I was craving a creative outlet for all of the recipes I was dreaming up all day long. Baking was always a hobby for me, something I would do after work and on weekends. Creating something from scratch is so therapeutic and a positive direction for all of my energy. I became so overwhelmed with all the ideas I had so I decided to blog about them. I’ve always read a number of blogs, and admired their creativity and photography. Blogging quickly became both a passion and a hobby.

By day I am a teaching assistant to a class of energetic sixth graders. I received a degree in education and am certified to teach elementary, special education, and high school science. Yes, that’s a lot of college! But I love watching children explore the world around them and learn.

I am a lover of chewy chocolate chip cookies, anything heart shaped, and the color lilac. I’ve got a serious sweet tooth and always joke that I could live off of sugar alone! I love coming home and baking up a sweet treat to enjoy to unwind after a long day. I also love to read (mostly cookbooks!) and spend endless hours on browse Pinterest.
